We are seeking a talented Full Stack Data Scientist to join our Data Science & AI practice to support our mission of delivering high-quality data programs for our valued customers.
The Data Scientist will work within the data science team, supporting the development and implementation of data-driven solutions that meet our clients’ needs. This role involves hands-on research and development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve complex and challenging problems. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing our product offerings and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models and AI solutions to solve business challenges for our customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product development, engineering, and front-end engineering) to integrate AI capabilities into our products.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and AI, incorporating cutting-edge techniques and technologies into our solutions.
- Communicate complex data science concepts and the value of AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Data Science & AI in executing the data science strategy in alignment with the company's objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Suitable qualifications (Masters or PhD would considered favourable) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles. Experience in consulting or professional services, would be considered favourable.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models, demonstrating business impact.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages and environments such as SQL, Spark and Python.
- Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.
- Experience with data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python/PySpark, Pandas/Numpy/Scikit-learn, MLFlow, TensorFlow/PyTorch, SQL).
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (specifically Azure) and big data technologies (Databricks).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and using LLMs for solving business problems.
- Familiarity with MLOps techniques for automating the process of taking trained/re-trained ML models to production.
- Experience applying transfer learning to computer vision problems.
- Experience with classification in time series with imbalance class datasets.
- Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.
- Feature engineering with big datasets that require use of SQL/PySpark, and experience with feature stores.
- Familiarity with agile development environments.
- Experience with ML on the edge (IoT devices).
